Why intern with CAIR-TX?

An internship at CAIR gives you the chance to develop professional skills and gain insight into the workings of a non-profit civil rights organization.

Our interns aren’t “free labor.” Interning with CAIR is an opportunity for you to expand your skills in a hands-on environment. You will be part of our chapter’s growth. We want you to succeed and thrive.

As a Communications intern, you will be directly involved in planning and executing promotion and marketing of CAIR Houston office events and initiatives. You will also be part of our media relations effort, participating in press conferences, meeting with reporters and monitoring media coverage of Islam and Muslims. We will rely on your assistance with graphic design projects.

We accept interns from all backgrounds and faiths, for academic credit or not. All internships are unpaid. You can begin your internship at any time during the year, but the duration of the internship will be determined before it starts. Interns are generally expected to work 10 hours a week. We look forward to receiving your application.
