What?
Texas Muslim Capitol Day is an opportunity for community members of all ages and faiths to visit the Texas State Capitol in Austin, meet with their elected officials and learn about the political process and civic advocacy.
CAIR-Houston will provide transportation to Austin and lunch is included. General tickets are $35 and student tickets are $20. Scholarships are available based on need. REGISTER HERE.
Where?
Capitol Day will be held at the Texas State Capitol, 1100 Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78701. After registration you will be provided with bus or parking information (depending on whether you travel with us or drive on your own) and nearby location for training and lunch.
When?
Approximate timing: Buses will leave from locations throughout greater Houston at 6 a.m. The program will begin at 10 a.m. and we will leave Austin at approximately 4 p.m. Exact schedule and departure locations will be provided after registration.
