MYLS teaches young people leadership, service and activism skills by combining lectures with workshops in an Islamic atmosphere. Topics include community coalition building, engaging elected officials, roads to success as Muslim professionals, and answering common questions about Islam. The program will end with spoken word performances from program participants.
The keynote speaker, Corey Saylor, is CAIR’s national legislative director. He will speak about addressing Islamophobia.
The registration fee is $25, which includes the full-day program, lunch and dinner. Meals are halal.
