CAIR-Texas Welcomes Arrest of White Supremacist Who Threatened to Target Black and Jewish Communities

The Texas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Texas) today welcomed the arrest of an individual affiliated with Nazi and white supremacist ideologies who allegedly threatened to kill Black and Jewish individuals and unnamed government officials using homemade explosive devices.
According to law enforcement, the suspect was apprehended after making explicit threats of violence motivated by racial and religious hatred. Authorities recovered materials from his home suggesting readiness to carry out massive, targeted attacks. He is now facing charges for terrorism, hoax bombs, components of explosives and prohibited weapons.
“CAIR-Texas stands in firm solidarity with our Black and Jewish neighbors and condemn all forms of hate and extremism, including white supremacy and Nazi ideologies. We are deeply relieved that law enforcement intervened before anyone was harmed,” said Shaimaa Zayan, Operations Manager of CAIR-Austin. “We invite all community groups to work proactively and in a united manner to address the root causes of this hate-fueled ideologies. We also urge continued investment in education, outreach, and interfaith collaboration to combat bigotry of all forms.”
Zayan noted that CAIR recently condemned neo-Nazi vandalism targeting a Jewish museum in Oregon, a neo-Nazi march in New Hampshire, racist vandalism in Tennessee and an alleged racist stabbing in Illinois.
She said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
