CAIR-Houston Condemns White Supremacist Flyers Left on lawns in Northwest Harris County
(HOUSTON, TX, 4/5/2022) – The Houston chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Houston) today condemned the distribution of flyers promoting the racist white supremacist group Aryan Freedom Network left at homes in the Copperfield area of Northwest Harris County.
CAIR-Houston also urged local police and the FBI to launch a hate crime investigation into the distribution of the hate materials as an act of ethnic intimidation. The Texas Hate Crimes Act defines hate crimes as crimes that are motivated by “prejudice, hatred, or advocacy of violence.”
Residents discovered the flyers Monday on their front lawns. The flyers were distributed last Sunday night and early Monday morning.

“This is now the second time this one neighborhood has received these hateful fliers,” said William White, director of operations for CAIR-Houston. “The continued intimidation of residents in Houston subdivisions with this vile material needs to stop. We urge the FBI to probe the group to bring an end to their hate-filled messages.”
White said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging anti-Semitism, anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, and white supremacy.
