SERVE AS LIAISON BETWEEN YOUR COMMUNITY AND LOCAL MUSLIM CIVIL RIGHTS ORGANIZATION!

CAIR-Houston is searching for good-doers and passionate individuals that are committed to serving and engaging with their local community. CAIR-Houston Ambassadors are energetic, community, and justice driven individuals who represent the diversity and strength of the Greater Houston Muslim Community. Ambassadors will help engage their community members by creating and promoting CAIR-Houston programs and services.

A WIN-WIN PROGRAM

CAIR-Houston is recruiting community-minded individuals to participate as Ambassadors to help deliver and promote its mission to enhance the understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims. Ambassadors are the relationship builders, community advocates, and builders who work to inform and share with their community members CAIR-Houston’s message. They will also interact with a variety of business and community leaders including Imams and other key community stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize community meetings, kickoff events, key worker training sessions and other public speaking engagements
  • Refer potential civil rights cases to CAIR-Houston
  • Organize bullying and Know Your Rights Presentations
  • Organize voter registration drives and tabling for CAIR-Houston
